yes anything you buy on those sites will most likely be milspec. Most if you want the exact one will also have the NSN number at the bottom. This is how military supply sgts can buy from them as well. For the M16 series the original bayonet was the M7, its just a simple spike bayonet with a plastic handle that tends to break pretty easy. Then you have the most widely issued bayonet which is the M9. It looks more like a rambo knife and is pretty durable. The newest bayonet issued is only for the USMC and is the OKC3 something or other. This is the one I carry but I bought it on my own. Its an excellent tool.
